Hong Kong Resort Company Limited (HKR) has responded to comments made by government departments and the public, and the Town Planning Board (TPB) has set a new deadline of 15 July, 2016 for additional public comments on the proposals. The proposals will now be heard at the TPB meeting on 26 August, 2016.<\/p>\n

As before, if substantive comments are submitted, HKR will be required to respond and the hearing date will be delayed once more.<\/p>\n

Take time to read the responses to comments by government departments, as they are very revealing.<\/p>\n

In particular, HKR has abandoned all pretense that the new developments can connect to government water and sewage. HKR now says that Area 6f sewage will be treated on site and the effluent disposed of through the nullah next to Discovery Valley Road. Or it will be treated at a new sewage treatment works next to Area 10b, but no specifics are provided.<\/p>\n

In addition, HKR states that the Passageway defined in the Parkvale Sub-DMC is not Village Common Area, even though Parkvale residents have been paying for maintenance and upkeep all these years. HKR goes further to claim that it still owns the Passageway, and therefore it has the right to grant a right of way through Parkvale Village to the new tower blocks at Area 6f.<\/p>\n

HKR does not explain why the owners of Parkvale Village have had to maintain HKR’s property for the past 28 years, however.\u00a0 Or why Parkvale owners will continue to maintain HKR’s property after HKR grants a right of way through the Village to the new tower blocks at Area 6f.<\/p>\n
